Chelsea is a local Australian Artist.
When she was young her mum told her that she could be anything she wanted to be in life. One day whilst they were flicking through a careers book, she playfully closed her eyes, found a random page, pointed to a spot, and when she opened her eyes it said... Butcher!
After they laughed a lot, they agreed that of course if she put her mind to it she could have been one, however it was best that she followed her instincts, and venture off into the world looking for what she yearned for most... Happiness!
She trekked through forests, floated down rivers, looked under stones, even climbed to the tops of Himalayan Mountains, but she couldn't find a solid piece of Happiness to take home with her. She looked into the hearts of the people, rich and poor, and saw something in common; many only saw what they didn't have, not what they already had. She developed an interest in Eastern Philosophy, learnt Mandarin, and became a dedicated Yogi. It wasn't until she found herself alone in a little Ashram in India, did she truly find the answer.
Now residing in Perth, with the wish to express her insight and inspiration through her Art, Equivocal was born, for others to enjoy and discover.
